A Legacy Since 1979
Our families' recipes have been our legacy since 1979. When Martha Olson started baking treats, making pancakes and serving up great meals in 1979, she couldn't have predicted that her recipes would become readily available to the public.
Martha's All Natural grew organically from our own restaurant business, expanding to supply grocery stores and military markets. During COVID, we became the only source of yeast in our small-town—a testament to our community's trust in our quality and commitment.
Now passed on to her daughter-in-law, Roylene Brown, Martha's All Natural has evolved from one woman's personal recipes to a beloved brand built on four decades of tradition, quality, and family heritage.
Meet Roylene Brown
Roylene Brown is the founder and guiding force behind Martha's All Natural, a brand dedicated to crafting clean, high-quality dry-good baking mixes made with simple, trustworthy ingredients. She co-founded the company with her husband, Michael, whose talent and determination helped propel the brand forward — particularly through his success building strong relationships and driving sales within military markets.
After Michael's passing in 2013, Roylene carried their shared mission through a period of transition. Today, she is back in the game, revitalizing Martha's All Natural with renewed purpose and an emphasis on quality, authenticity, and small-batch craftsmanship.
Roylene's hands-on leadership — from ingredient sourcing to product development — ensures that each baking mix reflects the integrity established from the beginning.
Finding Our New Home
When it came time to establish a permanent home for Martha's All Natural, we were drawn to Thomasville, North Carolina. Coming from Northern California, this charming town with its rich furniture-making heritage and warm community spirit felt like the perfect place to put down roots.
We opened Mixt + Provisions at 15 Winston Street—literally a 5-minute walk from Thomasville's iconic Big Chair.
From Northern California's innovative, quality-driven approach to North Carolina's time-honored values and community spirit, we've brought the best of both worlds to create something truly special.
Home of the Big Chair
Thomasville's iconic Big Chair stands as a proud symbol of the town's furniture-making legacy and creative spirit. This massive Duncan Phyfe-style chair, towering at 18 feet tall, reminds us daily that we're part of a community that takes pride in craftsmanship and isn't afraid to think big.
Just like the Big Chair represents quality furniture-making tradition, Martha's All Natural brings that same commitment to quality and craft to the art of baking.
A Charming Community
Downtown Thomasville's historic main street, with its beautiful brick buildings and tree-lined sidewalks, creates the perfect atmosphere for our small-batch operation. Neighbors support local businesses, and there's a real appreciation for artisanal quality.
This is where we've set up our hybrid retail and manufacturing space, creating premium baking mixes and curating products from other talented makers.
